Seminal problems causing male infertility

When a male undergoes a semen analysis (semen analysis), several parameters are studied, both macroscopically and microscopically.

In relation to the microscopic seminal aspects, the specialists study the concentration, motility, vitality and morphology of the spermatozoa. In addition, the seminal volume and pH are studied in general terms.

Depending on the altered seminal parameter, the semen alteration will receive a name as shown in the image. For example, if the sperm sample has a low number of spermatozoa, it will be diagnosed as oligozoospermia. Also, if the sperm do not move as they should, the result would be asthenozoospermia.
