Salpingectomy is the removal of the fallopian tubes, either by laparoscopy or laparotomy. This surgery can be unilateral when only one fallopian tube is removed or bilateral. Like any other surgical intervention, salpingectomy can cause adverse reactions:
- Abdominal pain and swelling.
- Hemorrhage.
- Infection.
- Reaction to anesthesia.
