In order for the pregnancy to be carried to term despite thrombophilia, gynaecologist and haematologist must work closely together. The diagnosis of thrombophilia requires not only routine blood tests, but also specific tests.
For example, the specialist will request ABO genotyping, coagulation factor polymorphisms and the study of factor V, factor VIII, homocysteine, etc.
