Tubal ligation reversal is likely to be unsuccessful if it was done through fimbriectomy. It involves removing the fimbria and infundibilar portions of the tube. Since the tubal cilia is located there, egg transportation cannot take place even if the patient undergoes tubal ligation reversal.
