Utrogestan is a hormonal drug that belongs to the progestogen family, as its active ingredient is progesterone. This drug is frequently used in assisted reproduction treatments, especially in the endometrial preparation phase to promote embryo implantation and pregnancy.
Other uses of Utrogestan are in women with irregular menstrual cycles, as a hormone replacement treatment for menopause and to prevent premature births and/or miscarriages.
