Endometrial scratching is a fairly safe gynaecological technique, so the risks associated with it are minimal. However, it is possible that the woman may experience slight bleeding or abdominal cramps after the scraping.
It should be noted that endometrial scratching is not recommended for pregnant women as it may cause miscarriage. For this reason, the specialist will check that there is no pregnancy by means of an ultrasound scan before proceeding with the endometrial scratching.
