There are some aspects that can increase the risk of suffering from adenomyosis. Some of them are the ones shown in the image: uterine surgeries, having several births or women between 40 and 50 years old.
Despite being risk factors, this does not mean that women will always develop it. The exact cause of adenomyosis is not known at this time.
