The symptoms present in adenomyosis can be varied and not all women suffer from them. The most frequent are:
- Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea).
- Monthly periods too long or abundant (menorrhagia).
- Pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia).
- Bleeding not related to menstruation (metrorrhagia).
- Anemia caused by heavy bleeding.
