The endometrium is the inner layer that surrounds the uterus and is essential for embryo implantation and, therefore, for pregnancy. For this reason, when the specialist has doubts about the endometrial structure and thickness after an ultrasound, other complementary tests may be requested.
This is the case of hysteroscopy, a gynecological technique that allows for the study and diagnosis of possible endometrial pathologies. In addition, the endometrial receptivity test, also known as ERA test, is another additional technique in the study of the endometrium. This method makes it possible to know when the endometrium is most receptive and, therefore, with the greatest probability of embryo implantation.
