Just as there are situations in which there is a drop in estrogen levels, there can also be an abnormal increase in estrogen levels.
The amount of estrogen will be increased if there is a tumor in the testicles or ovaries, as well as if there is cirrhosis. In addition, boys with delayed puberty and girls with advanced puberty will also have high estrogen levels.
