Endometrial preparation is a very important phase in fertility treatments.
It allows the embryo transfer to be performed at the optimal moment — that is, when the endometrium has acquired the ideal characteristics for embryo implantation.
To achieve this, women must administer estrogens and progesterone.
Some of the situations in which endometrial preparation is carried out include women who have undergone in vitro fertilization (IVF) with egg donation or those who are going to have frozen embryo transfers, meaning they undergo a deferred embryo transfer.
