The preparation of the endometrium is an important step in IVF treatment, since it is necessary to promote embryo implantation. The doctor will therefore prescribe estrogens and progesterone to stimulate the growth of the endometrium.
When the endometrium reaches a size of 7-10 mm and acquires a trilaminar aspect, it is the ideal moment for embryo transfer. These endometrial characteristics favor the implantation of the embryo in the uterus and, therefore, increase the possibility of achieving pregnancy.
