Although Menopur is a widely used drug in the ovarian stimulation phase of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, it is true that it is sometimes contraindicated. Some of these situations are the following:
- Presence of fibroids in the uterus.
- Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
- Early menopause.
- During the breastfeeding period.
In addition, Menopur is not recommended in situations of early ovarian failure, uterine fibroids or alterations in the sexual organs.
