Oligospermia, or oligozoospermia, is a semen disorder caused by a low sperm count in the semen. Many men wonder if there is anything they can do to increase the number of sperm in their ejaculate. The reality is that this will depend on the severity of the oligospermia.
In cases of mild oligospermia, there are some tips you can incorporate into your daily routine. For example, following an antioxidant-rich diet that includes foods high in vitamins C and E, as well as fruits and vegetables, and exercising can improve sperm production. Similarly, avoiding exposure to heat in the testicular area and refraining from smoking and drinking alcohol are other recommendations that can benefit spermatogenesis.
