Letrozole is a fertility drugs used to inhibit the action of aromatase enzyme, which is responsible of transforming androgens into estrogens.
With this medication, the pituitary gland (which was blocked due to the effect of estrogens) is stimulated, thereby increasing FSH levels, which has a direct effect on the ovaries. This will lead to the development of ovarian follicles, allowing the woman to ovulate with normality.
