Pelvic inflammatory diseases is a set of pathologies that are characterized by producing alterations in the upper genital tract of women.
Some of them are shown in the image:
- Endometritis or inflammation of the endometrium.
- Myometritis or inflammation of the myometrium.
- Salpingitis or inflammation of the fallopian tubes.
- Oophoritis or inflammation of the ovaries.
In addition, inflammation of the parametrium (parametritis) or the pelvic peritoneum (pelviperitoneum) may also occur.
