Embryo implantation is the moment when the embryo reaches the uterus and nests to become pregnant. The embryo naturally begins to develop through the fallopian tubes, as this is where fertilisation takes place.
On day 5-6, the embryo reaches the uterus and implants in the endometrium. On the other hand, if the pregnancy is through assisted reproduction, implantation will occur when the embryo is transferred after five days in culture in the laboratory.
