Estrogen levels in women remain stable during the fertile period, but when menopause is reached, estrogen levels drop.
However, there are different situations in which a woman may have a drop in estrogen even though she is not in the menopausal stage. Some of them are listed below:
- Early menopause.
- Premature ovarian failure.
- Turner's syndrome.
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS.
- Eating disorders.
