How many embryos are transferred by law?

The current Spanish legislation, Law 14/2006, states that the maximum number of embryos that can be transferred is three. However, this is not the most common.

Generally, the transfer of one embryo or at most two embryos is chosen in order to reduce the risk of a possible multiple pregnancy.
