Some patients are more at risk for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Some of the situations that increase the chances of it appearing are:
- Being under 35 years old
- Having polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Having a low muscle mass index (MMI)
- Having had a previous pregnancy
- Having a twin pregnancy
