Thanks to the latest advancements in assisted reproductive technologies, single embryo transfers are becoming commonplace amongst fertility specialists. Such improvements are:
- Embryo culture and time-lapse technology, which allow the embryologist to see the entire process of embryo development, without altering the culture conditions.
- Embryo vitrification: survival rates are so high that the cumulated success rate per cycle has increased significantly.
- ERA test: it allows us to synchronize the embryo transfer day with the day when the patient is expected to have an optimal endometrial receptivity.
