Spanish legislation allows the transfer of a maximum of 3 embryos. However, more and more specialists are choosing to transfer a single embryo in order to avoid the possibility of a multiple pregnancy and the risks it may entail. Some of them are:
- Premature delivery.
- Amniotic sac rupture.
- Gestational diabetes.
- Hypertension.
However, each situation and each case must always be studied to establish the best number of embryos to transfer.
